Hi guys,
I am new to robots. I would like to start with something simple and gradually add more capabilities like voice and face recognition. Can you please recommend me the most appropriate model or kit to purchase?

Um… this is rather complex and needs to be run on a normal computer. This means you will either need a robot with a full onboard PC (single board computer or laptop) or start simpler then add one later. If you are completely new, we suggest starting with a simple Arduino-based platform (not capable of face recognition, but can do simple voice recognition) then later add a netbook for face recognition when you are ready.
