"The Portuguese Robotics Open, which had its 1st edition in 2001, aims at promoting Science and Technology among students from the 1st grade to university studies, as well among the general public, through robot competitions. The Festival takes place every year in a different city, and includes also an international conference where national an international researchers present their latest work in the field of Robotics.
The event has had an enormous growth since the 1st edition, both in the number of teams, participants and visitors. The Portuguese Robotics Open is currently an initiative of Portuguese Society of Robotics."
It would be nice to track any ongoing internal competitions also
I am probably going to enter the LMR Logo competition that JAX got started. I stumbled across the one on jumping the gap - it seems we have more than one ongoing but I only know that by stumbling across them.

Come on by to see all the action and cheer on our future technology leaders.
I know about the list on robots.net, but I was thinking of something more up to date and maybe more user friendly. Like search/sort by geographic area or participation criteria(open, student only, international/local), prize information, difficulty level etc…
My link to the Valley View Casino Center was a map to the Valley View Casino. The Casino Center is the old Sports Arena in San Diego proper. Only about 40 min in driving distance. No big deal
I’ll probably check out the competition on Saturday with my indentured servitude eating up my Thursday and Friday. If anyone is interested give me a holler, maybe we can meet up or whatever.
