looking for a battery powered robot chassis, with sensors that are aware of environment and can do obstacle avoidance. Needs to be atleast 1m long
To confirm, the chassis needs to be 1m long? Normally this means it needs to support a certain payload and would be professional. Do you want 4WD, 6WD or tracked?

In order to suggest specific products, we need quite a few more details.
Wow, 1m long is quite large as Coleman suggested.
You may want to take a look at my build (links below) as it will give you some sense of dimensions and other aspects you may want to consider when deciding on dimensions. For example, ROVer’s main chassis is “onlyl” 15" long x 9" wide, but once you add the “arms”, wheels & tires, etc… the dimensions grow considerably. You’ll want to think about things like doorways (being able to get through), etc.
Also, you’ll want to think about weight and what sort of motor/power you’ll need to actually move that weight/size, etc. I can offer some insight based on my on-going experience with ROVer if you have any questions, of course.
Here’s a recent video that I did of the lower leg assembly, but it also touches on the main chassis design:
