Robot Arms Folding Sheet Metal

A customer sent me these youtube links showing our arms folding sheet metal. I see they are using vacuum to hold onto the sheets. I think it’s pretty interesting.

The “real thing” is here…

:open_mouth:

Wow, thats awesome!
Are there any links to a project page or are they willing to post some more info about the project here?

Cool! The Lynx bots did a better job I thought.

Thanks for posting this Jim - also check out curvedfolding.com for related software links - this is under development right now… more coming soon!

Wow! Interesting! You can make pretty cool parts with this method if I look at the photos on the website. I would like to check this site out some time to see how it really works. Any information on the vacuum parts that hold the metal plate in the SES version?

PS: How about folding your own vanquish?

I guess I don’t get it.

Unless you make cuts, or stretch the metal, what can you fold up besides fortune-cookies? Simple brackets, sure, but to mold a car body? (saw the website).

All very interesting, of course!
