Guys ,

I need a robot arm which can press a switch and rotate a knob. Also let me program which switch/knob to operate.

Can you help me pick an arm?

It sounds like you only really need a normal small robot arm such as the AL5 series:

For rotating a knob, you’ll need a wrist rotate upgrade (three options below):

How would you want to program the arm, and do you want it to be connected to the computer at all times, or stand-alone?

I like standalone - like arduino, raspberry etc. But i am even okay if they are connected to computers all the time.

Then for ease of programming, consider an AL5 (A,B or D, depending on the reach you need) which uses FlowBotics:

You can always buy a BotBoarduino later if you need stand-alone (you don’t need to buy a whole new arm).

BotBoarduino is a good micro-controller. Connecting to a computer allows you to do cool things. I did a web-app that allows me to control my robot arm from my device that can access the webpage.
