Hi everybody,

I am doing a project now in my company to make a robot for power line inspection.
But my boss just wants to buy the kit and assemble it so that it will not require much time.

I was looking for the kit in internet, but the size is very small, it is more like toy.
What I need is the robot arm kit which can be attached in the end of the boom, and is equipped with
camera for monitoring, and ultrasound sensor as well as RF antenna.

Is there any kit for that purpose?

I saw the robot here is more like for industrial purpose.

Please kindly give me the information.

Probably very difficult to operate low voltage electronics near a power line, and not recomended! These LM robots are for hobby use, and not intended for hazardous industrial applications.

Thanks for the reply.

Do you have any idea of where to get that kind of robots?
I mean I need the components, such as links and etc, so that I can assemble it, not the whole big robot that is already manufactured.

I’d look to the industrial robotics and motion control industries. you can find linear drives, and no doubt arm assemblies. The controllers will be industrial quality, and more suited to your task. They will also have the necessary torque to handle the needed load.
