Does anyone make something like my spektrum DX8 but in a non-rc style control layout? I need either a knob or a switch for each servo channel, and as many channels as possible, and hopefully for it to be able to bind to commercial receivers. Trying to figure out a co troller for a robotic arm that is wearable and can mimic my arm movement in the servos, as well as control other functions like lights and 12 volt relays.
Hello @tomw_6 and welcome to the RobotShop forum,
Sorry for the late reply
Could you give us more details of what you have in mind?
If it doesn’t need to be wireless you could use something like this:
I also found this controller that might interest you, the downside is that it only has 4 channels:
However, if you also want to control other things like lights and relays I would suggest getting a microcontroller and a servo driver with multiple channels, like these:
And make your own remote with Linear / Rotary Resistors and add a Data Telemetry module if you want to make it wireless.
I hope this information can help you out
I was wondering about the new OWI Wireless Robot Arm which I thinks work @ 2.4ghz. Anyone have a schematic for the OWI stuff. They told me it would come with the kit but I don’t see it.
Thanks abell118
Hello @abell118 the kit should’ve come with an assembly and instruction manual
If it didn’t please reach out to OWI’s customer service so they can assist you.
