I really like these robots. Their moves are equally awesome. Will the Robonova 1 do the cartwheels as fast as the KHR-3HV? I have viewed many videos on the net and only see the KHR do them in one swipe…Robonova a little more “step by step” action (if this makes any sense). Does anyone know of this and if the KHR models have any gripping claws as does the Robonova. It is the later of the accessories that makes me leaning towards the Robonova!! Thanks a million!!!

Welcome to the RobotShop Forum. The Robonovauses Hitec HSR-8498HB servos which can rotate at up to 0.2 seconds per 60 degrees, while the Kondo KHR-3HV uses KRS-2552HV servos which rotate at up to 0.14 seconds per 60 degrees. Assuming weight is not an issue, the Kondo should be able to move faster than the Robonova, including when it performs special moves like cartwheels. The code (and timing) is will have the greatest effect. Unfortunately we’re not aware of any gripper specifically designed forthe Kondo, though it would not be too difficult to adapt one.
