Hi, everybody,
I had a question regarding the motor controller, I’m planning to hook it up with a 12-volt motor and a 24-volt magnetic break.
Does the motor driver provide different voltage to each individual channel?
Thanks for your reply!!

Hi,
The RoboClaw 2x30A, 6-34VDC Regenerative Motor Controller is rated for a 6-34V voltage input.
However, the voltage value of the power input you will connect to the controller will be the maximum voltage that will be applied to both channels simultaneously.
Therefore, if you connect a 24V power source to the controller’s input, you may damage your 12V Motor as it might not be rated for 24V.
If your magnetic break can properly function at 12V, you can attach a 12V power supply which will also power the 12V motor.
The other solution would be to use two separate motor controllers, one for the 12V motor and the other for 24V magnetic break.
