Hi,
I am beginner with my roboard…
I would like to control my roboard under debian with my PC (Windows 7).
I think maybe that PuttY can be a good with a ssh server.
But I have some problems… (“Connection refused”).
It seems that ssh isn’t on my linux distribution, so how can I install it ? I know I am really lame…
It can be the port but I don’t really know how to configure it…
Is there another solution which can be easier ?
Thanks in advance,
Arno S.
Hi Cbenson,
I have the Roboard RB-100.
I have already installed Debian on my Roboard.
I will read the links that you have marked. (Tonight because I am french, and sorry for my poor english…)
I want to develop an application which permit the roboard to discuss with a computer, so I will implement UDP socket en C++.
In order to develop this part, I would like to have remote control to program and see the application’s effects on the both side (computer and roboard), is it possible ? (Main goal :** I would like to have one screen, one mouse for my roboard and my computer…**).
Thanks in advance,
Arno S.
Hi physinain,
Welcome to the RobotShop Forum. Do you have the 100 or the 110? You don’t really “control” the roboard using the operating system on another computer - the Roboard itself is supposed to run Windows XP or Linux (perhaps you meant communicate with the Roboard). If you have the 110, you should be able to run Debian 5 or XP without issues. If you have the 100, you will need to follow the specific installation procedure described under “Useful Links” on the Roboard RB-100 product page. Can you specify exactly what you are trying to do and how you have the two systems connected?
Sincerely,
Hi,
Your English is very good, but please note that we welcome both English and French on this forum. It sounds like your application has more to do with computers in general than about the Roboard - you may want to do a search online to see if anyone has done (or tried to do) something similar. The only means that comes to mind is what you are already trying - using the serial lines and writing a custom program which is running on both systems. We hope you post your progress.
Sincerely,
