Completely new to all this so please excuse my ignorance but wondering if anyone can help! So I’m wanting to build an interactive scarecrow for a competition. The scarecrow is going to be roadrunner from the old cartoon. What I want to try and do is automate the legs. I’m thinking about mounting the legs on a old bike wheel or similar then allowing passers by to ‘press a button’ to make the legs whir round in a fenzy! I’m thinking about some kind of remote controlled motor to power the wheel. Does anyone have any idea where I would start with a project like this? Many thanks in advance for any help!! Or shoot me down for being crazy…
@Olliew1972 If you can get the prop mounted with the legs connected to a bike wheel which still includes the sprocket, you can attach a chain and sprocket to a drive motor, which is then connected to a SPDT switch (simple ON/OFF) which connects or disconnects it from the battery.
