I use six dof Robotic Arm and use a ssc-32 my pc detects SC-32 card , and I press All=1.5 ms button ; after that test button apperes I press it but the robotic arm position does not change what can be the problem , I extract he jumber VL=VS1 is it problem , if I do not extract it the robot arm starts moving fastly to back direction I need your helps thank you
when you set th eprogram to all 1.5 it should move all of the servos to the center location. If the Arm if moving back, I would guess you just put everything together with out centering 1st.
when you remove the Vl-VL1 jumper you are taking power away from the servo’s, so they can not move.
thank you your informations and I need to ask some more questions I have two 9v battery when I use first one green lamb is okey and SSC-32 is detected by pc Rios comes Test step and when ı enter test button it does not move , for second batery when I use it without connect my robotic arm to pc it stars moving backward the battery moves servos but why I do not understand I do not do anytihng , I do not connect it to pc can you know anytihng about that thank you for your help…
It sounds like you are using a 9V battery to power the servos.
A 9V battery cannot source nearly enough current to move servos properly.
For test purposes, you can use 5 AA alkaline batteries in series (connect the + of one to the - of the next) until you get a rechargeable battery pack.
VL powers the circuit board and it’s ICs
VS1 and VS2 powers the servos directly
thank you very much NickReiser
No problem.
On second thought, though, I take back what I said about the number of AA’s.
I’ve been using NiMH (1.2V per cell) so long that I forgot Alkalines were 1.5V per cell.
5 Alkalines probably won’t hurt your servos, but 4 is a safer bet in the long run.
Again me I need your helps again , I use Rios When I enter All_1.5 ms buton Thre is a scrren and it says enter test button and your arm look like the diagram ,in diagram the Elbow is 30 degree up from horizantel and some another things but when I press Test button thre happen nothing what can be the matter? thank you
That description is rather difficult to understand.
Screenshots of the software during the problem and a picture of what your bot looks like during the problem would help us help you.
lynxmotion.com/images/data/rios02h.pdf is the manuel of the software I came 3. page and the screen which is yellow and has two buttons is apperad when I press the test button nothing happen the arm did not move as shown on the screen means Elbow is 30 degree up from horizantel and something like that what can be problem thank you for yor help aand advices.
Are your servos holding their positions, or are they limp?
Are you using digital servos or analog servos?
If they are digital servos, they should always hold their position as soon as you apply power to them (even before they get any instructions from the SSC-32).
If they are analog servos, they’ll remain limp until they recieve the proper instructions.
So, if you’ve got digital servos that aren’t holding their positions, it’s a power issue.
If you’ve got analog servos that aren’t holding their positions, it could be either power or communication issues.
Thank you NickResier you are right it is a power problem and thank you for your advices about servo motors
