Rios disables servos when in arm mode

I enable all servos
they work smooth and fine

I then enter arm mode and get message that need to enable servo 1, 2, 3

duh ! I just did that many times

please dont tell me that my communication is bad and that any cheap usb convertor will not work

I have tried three computers and the last one had a real serial port on a pci card.

I also updated the ssc32 firmware - nothing I tried works

PS - this previously worked on the last computer just fine - couple of years ago - I do not know what happened to that computer but it works just fine for everything else

Any cheap usb converter will not work. We recommend the FTDI cable here.

The driver has a property called latency and when lowered to its minimum the cable will work as fast as a true serial port. Here is a list of other things that can effect com speed or reliability…

By the way we have some new programs for the arms that you can use for free… They should be a little less demanding on the serial port compared to RIOS.
