I just purchased SSC-32 and the Rios software but am having trouble configuring my arm. I have tried to configure the shoulder and elbow and save the file, but as soon as i close the configure window, it looses the work i did. Reopening and loading the file i saved results in the same problem. any suggestions?
I am using a serial to USB cable (made by QVS) and a 9volt is powering the board. I am not using a separate power source for the servos as there is only two of them hooked up at the moment (shoulder and elbow).
So would giving the servos their own power supply (4 AA in series) solve the problem i have been having with the config? or is it a seperate issue? The motors do turn when i move the sliders, but the enable check boxes do not stay checked / unchecked when i close and reopen the config.
You need to power the servos separately. It may not be the problem but it is a very bad idea to try and power even a couple servos from the 9vdc battery. Just begging for problems…
