Rick: xv-11 brush

Ive got a xv-11 and the bot starts and then stops with the alarm clean my brush, the brush and the belt are both new and everything turns freely no binding. Installed new batts, to. Any ideas folks?

Hi Rick,

I’ve had the same problem. It was extensively discussed here awhile back, the consensus seemed to be that hair gets wrapped around the motor shaft. You have to disassemble the vacuum to get at it to clean. Mine was replaced under warranty twice for this problem. Both times the Neato CSR told me that it was a design problem and “we are working on it”.

Now mine is out of warranty, and I just fixed it. Lots of hair wrapped tightly around the brush motor shaft. Here is a helpful like to aid in disassembly:

If yours is still under warranty, call them and see if they will replace it.
