RGB LED, Multiple input freeform soldered Christmas tree star

I have an IDEA.

we have no Star on our Christmas tree :'(

but i do have an RGB led:

Its a common Anode unit, so i was wondering. Could you replace the resistors for each LED with a different type of analogue input.

  • A photoresistor on Blue perhaps
  • a TMP36 on Red (i realise that a TMP36 isnt a resistor, but could be wired directly to an LED?
  • and something else on the green.

The "star" could be free form soldered in a starshape with the LED in the middle

The colour of the star would be dictated by the conditions of the room

i dont really understand LED requrirements though. I might need to do some thorough research and breadboarding before taking this any further....

So the LED uses 270 ohm

So the LED uses 270 ohm resistors, if i sourced a Photoresistor which ranged from around 270 ohm, Upwards, that would cause it to Dim…? hmmm

Spose it would depend on the Voltage it is using. I must look out the “make your resistors glow not blow” article…
