Rewiring the wheelchair motor wires

Hello.

Please help me. I need to replace the wires on my wheelchair motors with thicker ones.

This are the wires now atached to the motor

I cant seem to figure out, how to solder the new wires to the motor. There seemes to be a thin sheet metal on the old lines that was somehow welded old glued to the motor.

Do you have a clue on which technique it was used originally and bow can I do it

This looks like a spot welding (or I think it is called like that :slight_smile: )

I am not sure what you can do, but maybe to cut the wire, then clean the weld on grinder and then weld it back?
