The robotics industry is constantly evolving, and one of the biggest challenges today is keeping up with the miniaturization of technology. Motors drive almost every robotic system, and robotics companies want to maximize motor torque, efficiency and precision, while minimizing motor vibration, cost and footprint. IQ Motion Control, a tech startup that spun out of the University of Pennsylvania’s robotics lab, decided to take on this challenge. The company realized that the drone and robotics industry has relied on under-performing motor hardware and control software for years. Their mission is to bring advanced motor control to the drone and robotics industry at an affordable price, using innovative and versatile hardware designs and software to redefine how motors are manufactured and used in applications that have strict space, weight and performance requirements.
