More BRAT modifications!
Let me know what you think!
theres no stopping you now.
i really like this. great use of the bracket, good to see more uses for it. could have done with something like this a few months ago.
will you be following this thread with a vid? 8)
I think itās kneeā¦ tow!
Will do. Once I get some code loaded on it. Probably tomorrow or so. 8)
ā¦Sigh.
Maybe this would go well with the hip rotate? I have my doubts if it will walk any better than a regular brat though. Thereās just something about reverse knee bipeds that really adds to the cool factor.
A day late, a dollar shortā¦ No, wait. Just a day late.
i agree, works pretty well. nice work. looks smart too. 8)
Yep. That it does. Keep in mind that itās using HS-425 servos, so thereās going to be a limit to how well it moves.
I did have to make one modification from the images I posted, which was to spin the feet around so that the longer side was in the back.
I loved the video, but I also loved that music!! My kind of music. 8)
It walks better than I thought it would. By the way, is this project an offspring of those new hexapod leg designs. I notice it uses similar brackets.
I have an idea James,
You could use this bracket:
And make a scout like bot with the Brat torso, kind of like a Brat hybrid. If sucessful, it could be called āScout Jr.ā You could also include the LPA design you posted the other day and add that on the top, and use the scout aluminum feet as well.
Yeah, I was considering that for a 4DOF version. If I used it, however, I would have to modify code!
Not to mention that the Scout feet are larger than the BRAT feet, so they may not fit using the 3" aluminum channelā¦ But I wonāt say anything about that. The low profile axis may work though.
Not really an offspring, no. It just happened to happen at the same time, since we got a new bracket.
Haha, the song is Isolate by Sybreedā¦ most people donāt particularly care for it once the vocalist opens his mouth thoughā¦
If you know of some more stuff like this though, maybe you could PM some band names to meā¦
I donāt know of any band names and I prolly would not like the voice. I like metal sounding tunes though.
I did not know the scout feet were bigger. I learned something today!

Yep. The BRAT feet are 2.50" x 4.75" while the Scout feet are 3.00" x 5.00".
