I have a question I hope you answer me. I want to make Quadcopter which can transport 3.5 -kilogram cargo to a four-kilometer destination and return, in 60 ° C Temperature. also I want to have live video camera.
Would you please help me to choose the right equipment for such a Quadcopter?
Do we need to have ground station for Image transfer and robot control? Or, we can solved this problem with conventional amplifiers?
The motor + propeller combination will need to lift the weight of the frame, battery, motors, payload etc. You’ll need to sum all parts to get an idea, multiply by two, then divide by the number of motors.

To help with the math, consider a motor like this with 15 inch propellers: robotshop.com/en/t-motor-na … motor.html
This can generate 1.9Kg of thrust, multiplied by 6 motors gives roughly 11.4Kg at max thrust, divided by two gives 5.7Kg, minus the 3.5Kg load gives only 2.2Kg for the weight of the copter plus battery.
You might even need something more powerful like: robotshop.com/en/t-motor-na … motor.html
Once you choose the motor, you can choose the ESC and battery. The total current draw and capacity determines the flight time. Suggest reading through the entire series: robotshop.com/blog/en/make- … stom-13989
Since you’re talking 4Km distance, you’ll likely need some long-range gear, which doesn’t necessarily need a ground station:
Compatible video receiver, though we do carry LCDs with a built-in receiver and battery mount.
If you want to make it all handheld, it might be bulky, but it’s possible. The “ground station” might be a laptop to be able to program the mission on site.
