Hello,

I’m a french guy and i’m getting started in robotics. I’m working in video.
Like in the title, my project is a remote controlled dolly system, like this

I think 10Kg max were be install on the sytem (camcoder, heah…)

I don’t know whitch motor and controller use for my project. Could you help me for the choises?

To get an idea of which motor you’ll need, use the Drive Motor Sizing Tool. This will give you the specs of the motor to look for based on rpm and torque. Once you have chosen a motor, you can choose a motor controller based on the current and voltage of the motor. If you need to know the position, we suggest either a DC Gear Motor with Encoder or a geared stepper motor.
