Has anyone tried remotely controlling a robot using a brain wave controller? I thought this was a scam, until I read through the forum. Now I’m not sure…

Have you seen that toy game that detects brain waves and controls a fan that raises or lowers a foam ball? My daughter got one for her birthday and it seems to work but control is very difficult.
I haven’t seen it – what’s it called?
It’s called mind flex.
Yes, I saw it last Wednesday at the Home Brew Robotics club meeting!
Goes under the name of Star Wars (something). I tried it briefly, I could finally get the ball to rise after finding bare-enough spots on the back of my neck. I didn’t really try it long enough to be able to accurately position the ball in the vertical tube.
It was developed by a pair of guys (Ologic) in the club for a toy company. Works with a “brain wave chip” that uses DSP to detect patterns of brain waves. Technology is there. And I’m told there are several “hacks” already on the net to tap into the debug port, and get plenty of data out.
It could be used to control velocity, but without getting additional info out of the chip, it would be difficult to control any additional parameters.
