Regarding Wheatstone Amplifier shield

Hi,

I am trying to amplify the signal out from a load cell of the range of milli volts. There is a lot of noise associated with the signal from the load cell. Should I add additional filters with the board? I am not very experienced with circuits. I would appreciate any help with this.

Hi,

As the signal from the load cell is very small (in the range of millivolts as you mentioned), a load cell needs to be interfaced with an appropriate amplifier to obtain readable measurements of weight.
These amplifiers breakout boards/shield might be good options :

]PhidgetBridge Wheatstone Bridge Sensor Interface/:m]
]Gravity HX711 Load Cell Interface/:m]
]Wheatstone Shield (if you are using an Arduino board)/:m]Also, you might want to take a look at this post about interfacing a Load Cell with an Arduino Board. The shield has already the appropriate filters on-board, therefore you’ll just have to connect your load cell to it and stack the shield on the Arduino.
