I have a spektrum AR7010 receiver and a Quadrino flight controller, I believe that I have all the wires connected properly but the receiver is unresponsive when I power up the drone. When I plug the battery in the receiver’s light flashes ON for a second then turns OFF, but all the lights on the Quadrino properly come on. I think that it should be getting sufficient power but nothing is working. Please let me know if you see my problem, thanks.
Hi Jarod_42,
Please provide us with some pictures of your wiring between the Quadrino Nano and the Receiver.
This will help diagnose…
Connections to the Receiver seems to be just fine.
What was your choice of Receiver in the FCT when you uploaded your Quadrino Nano ? Should be set to “StandardPCB” for the setup you have.
Let us know,
It is set to StandardPCM
Hi Jarod_41,
We are trying to help you out but you are not giving us much information about your setup and it’s hard to troubleshoot.
Have you already confirmed your Transmitter is bind to your Receiver ? The procedure is described in the Transmitter user manual.
When you connect to the WinGUI, are the values in RC Signal on the right of the “Flight Deck” page moving ?
yes the transmitter is properly bound, and when I am in WinGUI the values do move when I move the stick around
Ok, than you do not have any problems with your connection and receiver.
What exactly is the issue ? Have you proceeded with the End-Points settings and are you “arming” de controller ?
I have got it all set now, the ends are set,its been armed, and I have done the ESC calibration; yet there is still a problem. When I give it some throttle not all propellers go at the same time and some will just die while others continue to speed up even though I’m not changing the throttle input
You can start by raising the “Minimum Throttle” value in WinGUI (WinGUI / FC Config / Throttle limits / Min Throttle)
Increase the value 50 point and save than test it again.
This value is the Minimum signal sent to the ESC when they start spinning.
It can be tuned a bit depending which ESC brand you are using.
How did you calibrate the ESC’s exactly ?
Best regards,
I played with the min throttle and re calibrated the ESC’s, I now have flight. It seems to be operating properly and I can get some fly time so it’s all good now. Thanks for assisting through this build.
No problem, don’t hesitate if you need help.
You can as well post some pictures of your assembly, it’s always nice to see.
