Reading lynxmotion buffered accelerometer

Hi everyone. It’s me once again (sorry i’m posting so much, I’m kinda pressed for time to get a robotics project done). I ordered a lynxmotion 2g accelerometer and can’t figure out how to take readings off of it to save my life. I’m completely stumped with it. I’m using the atom pro as my MCU, and I read in the documentation something about a capacitor as well. Do i have to solder a capacitor onto it? If anyone can help me, I’d appreciate it SO much. Thanks!

Have you looked at the datasheet? Datasheets hold most, if not all, the information you need to interface to the sensors or other components you want to use. Accelerometers are generally analog output devices, requiring one analog input per axis.

The sensor provides an analog output for each of the two channels. The connectors are laid out the same as servo wires, which is ground (black), power (red), and signal (yellow). They can plug directly into the Bot Board’s analog inputs.
