RDM command for LSS

Hi,
I bought the LSS ST1 and after having already used it for various applications, now I would like to control it with the RDM serial command (ex. #RDM500), but the RGB LED Pattern indicates that the command is unknown.
I have repeatedly verified that I am sending the right command and on the communication protocol I cannot find an explanation.

Hi @tomlss,

First, welcome to the RobotShop community!

You are indeed using the RDM command properly (see details here).

Which would be the case if your LSS has a firmware version that is older than the one in which RDM shows up in! :open_mouth:

Simply update your LSS to the newest version using the LSS Config and you should be able to use the RDM command then.

Just out of curiosity, if you send “#[id]QF3**\r**” to your LSS, what answer do you get?

I will update the LSS.
I sent the command #[id ]QF3\r and it answer *[id]QF367\r. Is the firmware version 367 too old?

I’ve updated the firmware to 368.29.14 and now it can read the command RDM.

Indeed it is. The command exists in 367 but for debug purposes only and therefore is not accessible in that version.
