Hi guys it says I can connect the pololu 18v7 to a rc receiver is this as simple as connecting 3 wires from 1 channel of the receiver to the pololu 18v7 and will this run a 12 volt do motor proportionally like a large servo thanks
Hi Ricksmida,
The 18v7 will allow you to control a motor from 5.5V to 30V and up to 7A continuously with peaks >30A.
Your 12V motor should be fine if it do not draw more current than the rated specification.
Which motor are you looking to control exactly ?
Hi I was thinking of a car window wiper motor I want to build a large scale rc car and was going to use this motor for the steering that’s why I need it to be proportional
That give us more information, thanks.
You cannot have proportional control over a DC motor without an actual feedback system (potentiometer) and a controller.
A good choice would be to go for a Pololu Jrk controller which is made for such DIY servo project.
