RC car driving with sim steering wheel or 4G

Hello,

I’m curious to know how this is done. This is an RC car controlled by sim steering wheel, brake etc. over a cellular 4G connection.
I can only assume, he have the steering wheel, brake etc. connected to a potentiometer to read the values using a Raspberry Pi or Arduino, then have a web server on the Raspberry Pi o Arduino talking to another Raspberry Pi o Arduino on the RC car?

I converted my Craftsman riding mower 2 years ago to remote controlled, but now I’m thinking of doing something like this so I can control it from inside the house or really from anywhere with an internet connection.

Thanks,

Tony

Anyone? Am I in the wrong section?

Anybody? Every time I post here, not that often, but no body ever replies? Did I do something wrong?
Any mods that can help me out? I’m just asking questions to figure things out, didn’t think it’ll get political.

Hi @Oseller707 ,

It seems that no one from our forum has used this setup, probably because of that there is no answer.

I see that author of this video left his contact email. Maybe you can reach out to him to get more details?

@igor_X ,
Thanks for the reply. I already contacted the author of the video weeks ago, and then after, but no reply. That’s why I made a post here.
Right now my plan is to use mqtt or save data to a database and connect between two raspberry pi.
