I have an RB-Wtc-03 550 size DC brush motor with an output shaft on both ends - one end for an encoder. Is there a suitable quadrature encoder I can use for this motor?
I have seen hall effect quadrature encoders (basically just a PCB and magnet for 3mm shaft) that also solder to the motor terminals.
I was thinking Robotshop maybe has a product but I can’t find it, since they sell the motor.
The shaft diameter is 7.62mm, so with a simple shaft coupler, you can connect a high resolution rotary encoder like:

The suggested encoder is not sold separately unfortunately as it comes pre-soldered to the motor + gearbox + encoder assembly.
