Hi. Im interested to buy this kit but I want to know if it comes with clear instructions to build, and wether or not there is any programming involved I need to worry about. This is going to be used for my niece’s school project and I have one month to complete it. Thank you in advance.
Hi, assembly of the frame is quite straightforward (see image attached). Note however that it does not include any electronics - it includes the frame, motors and wheels only.

You need a microcontroller, two dual motor controller, remote control, battery, wiring harness and battery.

… and a number of other parts. If you are still interested we can provide suggestions, though we would need to know how you plan to control it.
If the price is too high with the additional components, tell us what you would like to achieve and and specs / details possible and we will see if we can suggest some alternatives.
Hi Coleman,
Im still interested on this model. However, my dilemma is the timeframe that I have to complete this project which by now is less than a month with very little daily time to accomplish it. I will like to hear your full recommendation of needed parts so that there is just assembly to be done on my part. Also, I’m willing to pay you for a prefab unit if that is at all possible. My concern as I mentioned is the time restriction since if anything goes wrong I don’t think I will have enough time to recoup for part replacement, missing part, programming/bugs, etc. If you can think of a better product please let me know. To be more detailed this would be used for a junior school project with 10kg weight support or a bit more. A 4wd platform, and dual joystick controller would be ideal within a $350 range. So the choices in order would be a prefab unit, complete kit + quick assembly, and lastly the long winded do it yourself which is cutting to close for comfort. Im not looking for any unit where programming is involved, unless is a quick job with a provided step by step. I was toying with the idea of gutting a remote controlled car and make a platform for it, but I rather have your product.
Getting a Mecanum robot up and running without prior experience may cause unnecessary aggravation. The 10Kg payload requirement for <$350 will be quite difficult indeed. We do not offer assembly services, and will not be able to troubleshoot a custom unit. What will the 10Kg payload be? For example a 4WD platform which can support 2.5Kg in the $350 range would be: robotshop.com/en/lynxmotion- … d1-rc.html
This still requires assembly.
