RB-Phi-123-Exication voltage

Hi there,

for a university work i bought the RB-Rhi-123 (first time working with a sensor) and use a arduino uno to read the Sensor.
Now i have some questions  .
In the datasheet is written that the sensor needs 5 VDC, but in the certificate it is written that the recommended voltage should be 9 - 12 VDC.
Which is now true?
Secondly, what are the voltage cables and the signal cables of the sensor? I pressume red (E+) and black voltage (E-), green (A-) and white (A+) signal and yellow nothing. Because on different websites i have read that the cables could be swapped.
My last question is, if it is possible to use the HX711 to amplify the output signal ?(I think it depends on the voltage)
Thank you for your help :).

Hello @RoboManiace and welcome to the RobotShop community,

You need to power it using 5V.

Here’s the connection information

For example, if you had a Wheatstone Bridge Phidget, the connection would be like this

It is possible to use the HX711 to amplify the output signal but as you mentioned it is possible that the cables (green and white) could be swapped

I hope that answers all your questions but let us know if you need further assistance
