2 questions:
My front right wheel got banged up in a crash. Do you sell these individually? RB-Nex-12 looks similar but there is no mention of roller bearings and the roller is specified as rubber rather than “PP+PE”
I would consider buying a whole replacement set if the rollers were softer. Right now, the PP+PE (not sure what that is) slips a bit on the hard floors I need to accommodate. Is there a version in the same form factor with softer bearing rollers?
Hi @jameslo
Sad to hear about the crash, but you are right the RB-Nex-12 wheel is pretty similar! And it does have ball bearings, it is not listed in the specs but it is in the description
PP+PE means Polyethylene+ Polypropylene which are plastic polymers. And as you said you’d like the rollers to be softer rubber is a perfect alternative because it will provide more friction so it won’t slip on hard floors.

Thanks! So what is the part number to buy 4 100mm mecanum wheels with softer bearing rollers? And what is the part number to buy 1 front right 100mm mecanum wheel in PP+PE?
I just checked the original description of the RB-Nex-12 wheel and the rollers are actually made from PP+PE so that is exactly the one you need for replacing your wheel.
Now, as far as the rollers I can’t say for sure which ones are softer, but if you weren’t happy with that set maybe you’ll want to give a look to RB-Mab-150, just check if your motor shaft is compatible. Also, there is a video demonstration so you can check if those wheels meet your expectations.
OK, just so you know, the description of RB-Nex-12 on your site says it’s rubber.
I bought motors specifically to fit the 6 mm D Nexus hubs, so is there a way to adapt the RB-Mab-150? And Is it possible for someone there to check if RB-Mab-150 is softer? Since your return policy is just for store credit, I’m hesitant to buy them just to see.
Yes, it does say rubber and that confused me too! The thing is rubber can be made of several different materials either natural or synthetic like plastic polymers, so the description isn’t actually wrong, just not very specific.
I checked if there was any 6mm D hub compatible with the RB-Mab-150 and I couldn’t find any, so maybe try to check for other options, as I said I can’t assure you if they are softer so you’de have to either rely on the customer reviews or check if the manufacturer specifies the friction coefficient (in your case the higher the better).
I’m sorry I can’t give more information because I don’t have the possibility to test the wheels myself, but maybe someone else in the forum has tried some and can recommend you a set. I hope you can find the wheels you need
