I’m looking at purchasing the Lynxmotion Little Grip (With Servos) but was concerned about the compatibility with my controller for my 3-axis mechatronic workstation project. We are running a GDK Galil DMC-41x3 Controller.
Is anyone familiar with this or if I would have any issues?
Thank you very much
Provided whatever you are using is sending a normal RC signal, you’ll be fine. The issue is when you want to use a servo which is not compatible with the gripper - it’s really made for Hitec’s 322, 422, 485, 645 (all pretty much the same case and dimensions)
Is is compatible so that i can also make same purchase?
Keep in mind in Galil’s guide when they say “servo” they tend to mean industrial as opposed to RC servos. They do not seem to list PWM under features or communication methods, so by first guess, it’s a “no” (it seems to be made for industrial DC motors with encoders). You might reach out to Galil directly and ask if the controller can output 3.3V or 5V PWM signals for hobby RC servos and if so, how. If it’s possible but not a standard feature, they might provide you a custom procedure?
