Is the RB-Dfr-668 motor compatible with the RB-Sbo-59 wheel?
Is the RB-Dfr-668 motor compatible (do any holes align) with the RB-Sbo-45 bracket?

Hello @wrightty ,
Welcome to RobotShop community.
This motor has a 6mm double flat shaft while the wheel has a 7mm hub so they wouldn’t work together.
You can either change the motor to this one or the wheel to that one .
The bracket wouldn’t fit since the motors are different.
Let us know if you have any further questions.
Sincerely,

Thanks for the quick response.
Any idea of the gearing on the GM9?
It looks like it has a slower RPM so I imagine a higher gearing.
Too bad it doesn’t have a built-in encoder like the RB-Dfr-668.
It doesn’t look like you carry the ‘Solarbotics Wheel Watcher Rotation Encoder’ as mentioned in the GM9 description (nor does it seem to be widely available). Any other thoughts for an encoder that would work with the GM9 or the compatible wheel?

The gear ratio for the GM9 is143:1 giving a rated torque of 16.5 oz-in and rated speed of 62 RPM.
We recommend changing the wheel and keep the original motor fixed.
You can find a lot of 6mm double flat compatible wheels easily, but you won’t find another similar motor easily.
These two wheels are also compatible with the 6mm motor:
Thanks.
Any encoder options you can think of?

The Solarbotics motors is only compatible with this specific encoder from their company:
However, you can try this encoder with it, it’ll need some adjustments to mount it on the motor:
