Raspberry Pi Official 7" Touchscreen

I ordered an official Raspberry Pi 7" Touchscreen Product Code: RB-Ras-11 that worked dandy with my Raspberry Pi 3B for a while but suddenly has gone dark. I can faintly see the screen images, but it seems the backlight has ceased to function. I attached an identical touchscreen to the Pi and it works correctly.

Can anything be done to repair the backlight? Can it be returned/replaced?

What is the warranty period? Where might I find that info. I’ve had it less than a year.
