Raspberry Pi Camera needed to photograph fruit flies

Hi,

I’m working on a senior design project where I need to take fairly accurate photos of still (anesthetized) fruit flies. The image needs to be zoomed in on the fly itself. I’m working with a Raspberry Pi and I need to find the right camera to attach to the pi in order to take these pictures. I bought a 16mm lens to fit onto the generic Pi High Quality Camera but the lens doesn’t zoom in enough. I’ve attached a link to an image that shows the level of quality I need out of the camera. I’d appreciate any suggestions on what camera/lens will meet my need.

Thanks!

Hi @echaff3 and welcome to our forum.

I am not the expert in this field, but I know that most of our customers choose Arducam products: https://www.robotshop.com/en/arducam.html

Maybe you could even contact them directly for advice ([email protected]) or ask them on their forum (https://www.arducam.com/forum/).

Thank you.
