Hi, very interested in the sequent 8 relay expansion hat
i understand its stackable
can on raspberry pi 3 control 3 of these stacked up i.e. i’d like to control 234 independent relays - is this possible with one pi, or do i need 3
each hat need 750ma for all reays, but do you have a recommended psu for this? what kind of connector does the hat use?
Hello @gallathan and welcome to the RobotShop forum,
You can stack up to 8 of the relay HATs (up to 64 relays) on one Raspberry Pi.
The HAT uses a 2.1mm power jack and you can read more about the power requirements in the Datasheet (page 6).
In the rare event that your application uses four 8-RELAY cards and requires that all relays be ON at
the same time, you need a power source that can supply minimum 4A. You also need to split the
power cable and feed the +5V through two 8-RELAY cards.
