hi is the servo HS-805BB to get in similar like the HS-5765MH reprogrammed range ?
Hi @patrickdierckx ,
I think HS-805BB does not have Programmable Digital Amplifier with MOSFET Drive.
With HS-805BB you should be able to achieve this:
You might consider a smart servo which can operate in serial or RC modes, like the Lynxmotion LSS:
hi igor thanks for the fast respons . i have a look .
hi . does the servo travel tuner works for the HS-805BB ?
Hi!
According information from ServoCity, yes, HS-805BB works with servo travel tuner:
You can order HS-805BB servo here:
And you can order servo travel tuner here:
Feel free to ask anything else.
hi thank you for the fast respons .
You are welcome.
Are you building a robot or something else?
building an inmoove robot . my skills are very limited . so many questions .
Cool. I’ve seen few of these built, on YouTube videos.
So far, RobotShop only has the head:
But I think there will be full body also available soon.
yeach its allot of printing . also expencive .
It is. One step at a time
indeed . there’s allotto learn .
To confirm, the servo extender doesn’t seem to be able to have a servo rotate more than it can with a full pulse signal of 500 to 2500us. It seems to be used to adapt a smaller signal range and “extend” it to a larger one. For example if a controller can only send 750 to 2250, the extender can convert that to 500 to 2500. I don’t think the servo can rotate more than 180 degree.
hi cbenson
thank you for your input on this topic .
In case it helps, a similar sized servo, the 785HB, can rotate 3.5 turns using the same pulse range.
Therefore no servo extended needed, and if you want a smaller angular range, you’ll need to restrict the signal being sent, though you’ll lose positional accuracy. The LSS really are the most versatile, and given you’re working on a humanoid (head at least to start) you might consider them a good investment.
hi . sorry for late respons . does this winch servo have something that i can controle like distants ?
excample a normal servo i can controle the degere i want to set it . is 3,5 turns more then 200 degree ?
thanks
Correct, you control it the same way as a normal servo, but instead of 500us corresponding to -90 degrees, it’s -1.75 turns. 1500us is still centered and instead of 2500 being +90 degrees, it’s +1.75 turns.
thats interesting . the winch servo is 9 mm smaller . that can be a problem .
am building the inmoove robot . the inmoove have standard hip size . i cant change that .
but i will by 2 of them and see it in real life how it works and looks . thanks
For projects which use predesigned parts, it’s important to look at the dimensions and specs for any replacements you’re using. Try to find some flat plastic you can cut out using a knife or scissors to act as spacers where needed (and stack them for added thickness). Polymorph can also help to create hand-molded plastic parts:
