Hi,
I have exactly the same problem (original topic here) but the lynxterm does not work on my PC perhaps because WIN7. Is there a way to set starting sequence on the SCC 32u using lynxmotion sequencer? So the board itself would send a default on power up?
Regards,
MR.
Hi,
This would be an unusual issue, since the screenshot on the original thread was taken on a computer running Windows 7, SP1.
Could you try Lynxterm and post a picture(s) of any error message you receive when trying to run Lynxterm? You can attach pictures to your post in Full editor mode. See the attached image for details.
You would need to send the appropriate configuration commands by serial connection to it. You can read more about changing those settings in the SSC-32U manual, pages 36-37. Just send the appropriate commands to read or write the required registers with the values needed. This is what is done in Lynxterm in the background.
You would need to enable the Initial Pulse Width (in the Enable register/bit field) to give the channels a default position on startup. You will also need to set values in the Initial Pulse Width registers (32 of them). Please note that once turned on, it provides a default position to all 32 channels on startup (it is a all or nothing type of setting). If you prefer only moving a handful of channels, you can instead set a Startup String instead filled with the P type commands that you need. This way, you would only give a position to a few servomotors.
We hope this helps.
Sincerely,
