Ramping Motor Speed

Am using motor:
robotshop.com/en/12v-12rpm-8 … LEQAvD_BwE

This is to be used to accelerate a 550 pound machine.

Can I just use a duty cycle of 1/12 for 1 rpm?

Or, do I have to ramp up the duty cycle?

Hi Bruce,

You can adjust the PWM output to the motor (with a motor controller) to get a lower RPM.
We have a Drive Motor Sizing Tool available on our blog if that can help.

For this motor you might want to check the 10-30A DC Controllers category to find a suitable controller.
