Hello,
I have a couple questions regarding the L12 actuator. The background on my application is as follows: Its an RC airplane with retractable landing gear, to include a retractable tail wheel assembly. The current linear actuator being used to drive the pushrod that moves the tail wheel assembly up and down is in need of being replaced. This actuator is being controlled by the manufacturer’s own control board which “amps out” and cuts off power to the actuator when the travel has been reached, therefore stopping motion. Also, this is a 7.4v system. Also to note is that this control board in use controls all functions of the landing gear system to include the two main landing gear, sequencing the opening and closing of gear doors and the opening and closing of the tail wheel. The board itself is controlled from the “Gear” port from my receiver.
My questions are:
- Will the “R” series L12 work in similar fashion with the control board I’m using with this “amp out” function?
- If so, will a normal 6V regulator inline between my control board and the L12 be sufficient to use?
Thanks in advance for your time.
