Hello There - Need some help on my battery recharging circuit.
I attached an alternator to my lawnmower connected to 2 in series 12V batteries. The idea it’s to recharge the batteries as gas engine motor is running to power two electric motors used to move the machine controlled by a Sabertooth 2x32 along with R/C control.
So far R/C control circuit is working perfectly so I omit from drawing attached. My problem it’s I can’t be able to recharge batteries using the alternator neither using the motor or in idle mode. All component are working and tested separated o my problem comes when I tried to connect altogether. Here are some specs:
Alternator Outputs:
45 Amps, 56V, 1430W, Volt Set Point: 28.2V
Motor Specs:
2 Motors controlled by Sabertooth 2x32. (350watt continuous / 1000watt peak ratings. 4pole brushed dc motors.) 24V, 14.6Amps, 350 W
Batteries:
Two EverStart Lead Acid Batteries, Group Size U1 (12 Volt/340 CCA) connected in series for 24V output.
Any ideas what I’m doing wrong? - Please let me know if do I need to provide more info/specs.
