Hi I am enquiring on the most suitable rc speed control for my project. Approx 80kgs total
80kgs total weight using 2 x 200watt motors 12 volt skid steer slow speed buggy. Which speed control. Receiver. Transmitter. Would you recommend that is durable for outdoor use. I require forward reverse. Thanks regards Garry
Do you already have the motors? If so, at what voltage do you plan to operate them, and what is the maximum continuous current they will draw. If you don’t have that, can you tell us the stall current?
Hi I will have a continuous load of 12-20 amps. A stall load of 30 amps.
Thanks regards Garry.Yes I already have the motors 12 volt 200 watt. Thanks
TheSabertooth 2x25A is a great controller right in that range:

Plus two of these:

Thanks for that info C Benson. Could you recommend a outdoor durable receiver and R/C transmitter, also a servo unit suitable to control the throttle on a petrol engine
This is for the same vehicle
Any R/C unit can be used outdoors, but very few are meant to weather the elements.
Differences between models include: number of channels, range, programmability, quality of construction, price etc.

The R/C system is not actually controlling the throttle directly - you’d have a servo connected to the receiver, so the servo is more important.
Any feedback regarding the points above would help us suggest specific models.
Does the Sabertooth 2x25 amp speed controller come in a enclosed case and how would it compare to the RB-Rob-23
No, there is no case included with the Sabertooth. The Sabertooth 2x25A can provide up to 25A per channel whereas RB-Rob-23 can provide up to 120A on a single channel. Very different.
