Due to the large number of comments detailing the dangerousness of this, I have decided to delete it. An admin can fully erase this post if they wish.
ooh
oohhh yeah that video is scary
Yeah, like Myc said, if the battery gets hot, unplug it immediately. These steps worked for me with no problem, though you still need to be very careful.
This is dangerous and stupid.
No one should attempt this. C’mon, a direct-connect charger to a lipo battery? Not a single diode, nothing to regulate current or volts, no measure of temp. This is the most stupid post I have ever seen and is going to get some young, dumb kid (who thinks you know what you are doing and doesn’t himself know better) burned or killed. That, or we are going to see a house burned to the ground. THIS IS A COMPLETLY IRRESPONSIBLE POST.
DON’T DO THIS. DON’T DO THIS.
YES DENT THIS IS NOT A SAFE
YES DENT THIS IS NOT A SAFE THING YOU NEED A BALANCING CHARGER. THESE BATTERIES ARE DANGEROUS.
Thread MARK FOR DELETION.
Thread
MARK FOR DELETION.
**ok **
well, apparently all that was for nothing. I agree it is potentially dangerous, but hell, it’s up to you. I guess you guys can delete my post…
Still no deletion
I came across this post again. I thought it still has some serious educational purpose. How NOT to do something. So I decided not to delete it.
Rik
But why?
Why keep this post? There’s nothing on it except a couple angry outbursts.
information
dent theres some good info in this page.
it explains why you should take care with lipo batteries
But nobody new knows what
But nobody new knows what this thread was about, therefore I would delete it and start a new thread on proper battery charging (educational thread).
