Hey good folks,

We would like to use the Arducam 8MP Varifocal USB Camera. It has three key features we love: (i) It supports 3264 x 2448@15fps, (ii) comes with an enclosure, and (iii) works with USB.

However, we would like to use different lenses. The question is whether the Arducam M12 lenses would fit into the 8MP Varifocal camera. The kit has a CS mount adapter.

I watched a video from Arducam which says this is possible. But it was for IMX477 whereas the 8MP Varifocal USB camera uses IMX179.

Anyone has experience on this? Would the lenses kit work with the Varifocal USB camera?

Even though the lenses are likely to work with the Arducam 8MP Varifocal USB Camera it is best to either contact the vendor directly ([email protected] / [email protected]).

Another option is to ask in a forum specialized in that topic
