On this motor, how do I know which lead is + and which lead is - ?
It has two small tabs each with a hole for the wire to be soldered onto.
One tab is bent and the other is straight, is this the indication for which is which?

When it comes to DC motors, there is no positive or negative - connecting the leads one way will make the motor turn CW, and reversing the wires will make it turn CCW. Use a 1.2V battery and some spare wire to see which way it turns, then solder it as you wish. The tabs do not indicate anything (but be careful when soldering because they are small).

The best would be to power them with four regular batteries in series (1.5V *4 = 6V). They could be of nay size as size only affects how long the battery lasts.
