Question: Parts/procedure for "dancing" Roomba 530

My Roomba 530 has begun to “dance.” Here’s a video:

I’m reading that this behavior indicates a problem with the bumper or the bumper sensors. I’m not afraid to take Roomba apart and attempt the repair myself as long as I have some guidance on which parts to buy and some clear instructions on how to carry out the repair.

Anyone here care to help? Many thanks.

Thanks for this. Since it appears that the problem could be several different things, I think I’ll just send it in for repair.

I appreciate your help.

Hi galewis,

Welcome to the RobotShop forum.

A forum member just recently had the same problem; please see this thread. It explains what you can try on your robot first, and, if that doesn’t work, what parts you may need.

Let us know if you need anything else.

Thanks,
