Question about Ball Bearing Hub and Low Profile Axis

Hello,

I recently purchased a Wrist Rotate Upgrade (Heavy Duty) Kit with a AL5B arm kit.

My question is about the Ball Bearing and Low Profile Axis Kit LPA-01.

The gear that I received in my kit that goes onto the servo is not as pictured in the instructions, it does not have one side cut out, it is a full gear.

Yes it fits on the the servo, but, there is no way to access the mounting screws on the servo, once the full gear is installed, so that I can adjust the engagement of the gears.

Did I get a bad or wrong gear?

We changed to a full gear a while ago. It makes for a more versatile part. You should be able to adjust the gear mesh by removing and replacing the gear and adjusting the servo position.

I think I’d like the full gears. I have the notched gears.

You might consider drilling an access hole in one of the gears.

Can we order full gears?

Currently the gears are not sold separately. We will look into adding them. 8)

That’s one gear I’d like to get cutters for, and make myself (different sizes)!

32 pitch, 50 tooth, 20 DPA gears.
