Quadricopter, Help!

Hello everyone,
I am dedicating to Quadricopter and I’ve read many forums about it.
I already know how to do it but I lack the components:
I found on HobbyKing everything you need at low cost, but I can not make me get the pieces from America.
I am Italian and then to avoid paying the customs headquarters in Germany I would buy from this online site, but not all the pieces come from the headquarters in Germany! :frowning:
How do I?
Where to buy all the components?
I’m sad not to take those parts … I need a store in Europe!
Please help me.
Here is the list:
hobbyking.com/hobbyking/stor … aff=373759
hobbyking.com/hobbyking/stor … aff=373759
hobbyking.com/hobbyking/stor … aff=373759
hobbyking.com/hobbyking/stor … aff=373759
hobbyking.com/hobbyking/stor … aff=373759
hobbyking.com/hobbyking/stor … sher_.html

and then I also need:
a cable to program the transmitter and charger LiPo

Why can’t you order direcly from HongKong ?

Here is my thread
lynxmotion.net/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=7486
rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1474422

LOL … I already read that thread before writing my post!
However I can not because I get them from the, as I said, are European and therefore should pay the customs and the pieces would come much later, if not longer, 2 months … : (
Moreover, I would make 2 lists because some parts should I order them from Hong Kong and others from Germany and then spend 2 postage …
It is a real problem for me (I am 14 years …) because I do not decide at home … lol
You’re French, you know French or other European shops?

EDIT: how do I put an image of the profile?
Bye
Andrew

I do speak french but i am from Quebec Canada.
Where are u from ?

What do you want to build ?
Have a frame in mind or maybe a size ?

There is better motor out there…

hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idproduct=2069
hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__18002__HobbyKing_Red_Brick_10A_ESC.html

I don’t see any problem.
I’m belgian and I’ve ordered many times from HK. There is no customs to pay and the shipping take 2 weeks (not two months).
Their prices are unbeatable for low to medium quality products. But beware that using lower grade stuff mean taking extra precautions not to destroy them and require more work to fit everything properly.
Also, why would you have 2 different orders ? all products in the german warehouse can be found in their HK warehouse.

If you still want to order from europe, try GiantCod, they also sell chinese products.

EDIT :

Before ordering anything, make sure you have the complete list of what you need. You have to know every characteristics of every piece of stuff which will fly in your quadcopter.
First of all, you need to decide the size and weigh of the bot. This is what will allow you to choose the proper motors/propellers/battery/ESC combinations.
The bigger the motor or propeller or voltage, the more thrust you will have. But, if the propeller is too big, the motor will stall and it means a “kind of” short circuit, which will fry your motor. The same with the voltage, higher voltage means higher RPM and so higher currents flowing trough the windings which will rises the temperature of everything (motor, leads, esc, battery).
The battery need to be able to give enough current, if not, they can EXPLODE.

Because YES, those kind of things are NO TOYS. It’s about “playing” with dangerous things (a propeller can cut your fingers).
So, I don’t want to discourage you, it’s a really interresting project but you will have to be sure of what you’re doing at each step of the project’s realization.

Thanks for the reply … sorry, I had read that spoke French and so I immediately thought of France.
However I am of Tuscany, Italy.
For the project I had in mind to take the measures of the project:
centrodigravita.it/index.php … &Itemid=55
For the engines, thanks.
But LiPo will fit the same and the same props?

Bye
Andrew

Thanks to you too … but we need to see: in Belgium do not pay the customs, and in Italy? How do I know?

Bye
Andrew

EDIT:
Thanks again … but now I am 14 years old and I know I have to be careful about these things.
For the project I want to follow what I have already posted, the only thing is that I will use the Arduino A and then the weight will be more … well I calculate the weight of each component to see if those engines are fine.
Control even with the engines who advised me DiaLFonZo.
I would just like to know if I posted those propellers are good for the engines that has posted DiaLFonZo.

I found an Italian shop!
But I want to help … you can check on the components?
eligasper.com/index.php?main … ts_id=1098
eligasper.com/index.php?main … cts_id=563
eligasper.com/index.php?main … ts_id=1160
eligasper.com/index.php?main … ts_id=1511
eligasper.com/index.php?main … ts_id=1512
eligasper.com/index.php?main … ts_id=2200
eligasper.com/index.php?main … ts_id=1448

This are some of the components required …
a question: for the propeller counter-clockwise?

Bye
Andrew

EDIT:
… but if I do not pay customs buy from HK

Theoretically it is possible that you have to pay customs when importing from outisde the EU, but there is less probability if the order values is low.
Italia is like Belgium when it comes to taxes because everyone in Europa is under the same commercial laws.

Here in Canada. i have never pay custom from Hobby King order.
Labeled Gift most the time. And you have the choice of the value labeled on the package when doing the final order…!

Seemed OK into US as well.

Slow, as I had determined to wait for a backorder, but good parts.

Alan KM6VV

Thanks to all of the answers.
I agree with you all.
Now I have a complete list of components I want and then put the images.
I only have 3 more questions:

  1. 6 channels are enough for my project?
  2. The cable / remote control also includes a program to program the remote control 6 channel? I do not think … where can I get the software?
  3. Turnigy Battery 2200mAh 3S 35C Lipo Pack which charger should I buy? I tried searching, but I need help.

Thanks again
Andrew

Can i talk to you in French ?

How big you want your QuadCopter ?

Thoses are small motor.

For the transmitter, the software is on the HobbyKing page.
On the botom there is a “File” secton
hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/_9042__Hobby_King_2_4Ghz_6Ch_Tx_Rx_V2_Mode_2.html

For motors and ESC i would recomment just like i have.
Motor are smooth and have good bearing. No vibration. And it come with mounting and propsaver.

Merci beaucoup! LOL

Thank you! LOL
The French at school, I learned (a little)! hahaha
Thank you!
But you put me in trouble in just one thing … LOL … because I posted two sets of propellers of varying sizes? both are good?
In the description of the engine is written that those recommended are 8x3.8, while those who have posted are 7x3.5 and 8x4.

Thank you anyway, you already gave me a tip!
However, you can talk quietly in French …

For propeller i have not use the one from HobbieKing,
I have look at what HK have and those i point you are set of normal and contarotation in the same pacakge.
Easy to start.

If you have somewhere to buy them, i would recommend APC prop.

apcprop.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=LP07050E
apcprop.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=LP07050EP

Thoses are the one i have on mine, but i will test with a bigger prop soon.

To have a good Multicopter, you need good not flexible well balanced prop.

Thanks, but I think I will make a one-time fee of HobbyKing.
I just hope you good mate to the engine … otherwise I’ll have to buy other props.
But now I order them because in a few days I’m going on vacation in London for five days. (Otherwise, if you order now might come when I’m in London)
So for now I think the structure.
I have to find very light materials such as aluminum.
In addition, the plates will use the current leading (only one side) to save space and make a clean thing.

This is the second video of the construction of a quadricopter (Italian).

Bye
Andrew

EDIT:
This is the list:

But then, Ch 6 are good for my radio?

I just got my second design today…!
Small 220mm center to center motors…!
