Pushing or Shoving, which is the answer?

You cannot trust the Pusher robot. He is malfunctioning.

First: re your title - What is the question? You ask which is the answer, but you fail to state answer to what, and the question is not asked in the video.

Second: You purport to be running a poll with five answers collected thus far, yet you only show two participants. I hope this is not an omen of all elections in 2012. More votes than voters is worse than hanging chads.

Third: I don’t think these alleged “robots” are real. Real robots would be suject to Asimov’s laws including the parts about not harming humans. And yet, these two are lying and misleading (processes harmful to humans) almost throughout the video. Consider this:

  • The high voiced robot claims to be the Pusher while the low voiced robot claims to be the Shover.
  • At 39 seconds, Pusher claims to shove around blind people. (Argueably harmful to blind humans.)
  • At 52 secs, Shover claims to push bread down their throats. (Harmful?)
  • 1:24, Shover states pushing will protect.
  • 1:33, Pusher states shoving will protect.
  • 2:10, Pusher states shoving is the answer.
  • 2:13, Shover states pushing is the answer.
  • 2:24, Pusher states shoving is answer and will protect.
  • 2:43, Each has just claimed to be the better robot, but both claim the other’s process is the answer.

Either, they each lied about their own identities at the outset, or they lied about the process they each perform. This calls into question all their statements as to which process is the answer and provides protection.

By this point, Snailkeeper, you should be questioning whether you still believe Shover’s assertion that Pusher is malfunctioning.

In fact everyone should be wary of accepting the basic premise they keep asserting. It is very probable that there is no terrible secret of space afterall. Pusher and Shover have been positing a faulty dilemma! And having no basis, the poll is moot.

Now…what did I win??? :stuck_out_tongue:

You should have added a “Both” option to the poll. Obviously both of the robots causes are just since they are protecting humans from the “terrible secret of space”
